Simple Beautiful DIY Snowflakes

It's that time of year, when the world falls in love, every song you hear seems to say, 

"Merry Christmas," may your New Year dreams come true. 

It seems like December 1st hits and I'm ready to pull out the holly and jolly and Christmas decor! I don't have any snowflakes up yet and wanted to add some to our home. I have fond memories of creating intricate snowflakes in school, surrounded by friends and laughter. I had a lot of tissues needing used up, so I thought I would create some with what I had on hand. 

Unfold it aaand...

Ta-da! Four beautiful snowflakes!

Now, you can either tape them up or make them a little sparkly. Your choice! If you prefer sparkly, grab some glue (a stick for thick glitter, or liquid glue for thin). Add your glue where you'd like it to shine, sprinkle some glitter on, shake the excess off and...

Voila!! You did it! Now hang it somewhere to add some instant holiday pizazz! I picked a lamp we have that's blue because it fits so well!

I put one that had glitter and one that did not to balance the sparkle out a little. What do you think?

I think we have a new favorite tradition! I can't wait to see the boys' faces tomorrow! We have snow inside! :)
